Summer Active in Valle Isarco

The leisure programme with which the apple paradise of Natz Schabs delights its summer holidaymakers is colourful and varied. The classics – hiking, cycling and mountain biking – can all be enjoyed here at almost every altitude and degree of difficulty. From a leisurely trip with all the family to an interesting nature trail along the new Apple Trail from Raas to Natz and a challenging mountain tour on clearly signed routes.
The picturesque mountain scenery around the Sylvanerhof forms the perfect backdrop for active holidays in harmony with nature

Hiking and mountain tours:

Lovers of the Nordic version of hiking can let off steam on the signed Nordic walking routes in the Natur Aktiv Park, which offer varied sections with differing degrees of difficulty through apple orchards, meadows, Scots pine and spruce forests.

The Radelseespitz, Karspitz, Seefeldseespitz and Eideckspitze summits all surround the Sylvanerhof and tempt you to enjoy a fantastic mountain tour. Just a few minutes' drive away are more lovely hiking areas with wonderful panoramic mountain views, such as Gitschberg Jochtal, Rodeneck Alp, Villanderer Alp and the Plose.

And the Dolomites – a UNESCO world natural heritage site – are within reach and can easily be accessed from the Eisack Valley via the Puster Valley, Villnöss Valley, Gardena Valley and Badia Valley.

Hint for hikers:
from Brixen head for the Würzjoch and from there to the Peitlerkofel (2875 m), the mountain with some of the loveliest views in the surrounding area.
For those who don’t want to scale the summit, it's possible to circumnavigate this distinctive Dolomite peak on a uniquely beautiful panoramic tour.
Walking time approx. 5 hours

Make your cycling holiday into an adventure:

Our little village of Raas is the ideal base for superb cycle and mountain bike rides. The wide ranging cycle path network is ideal for moderately experienced cyclists and families. Pedal along the Brenner Cycle Trail to Sterzing, or through the Puster Valley to Sillian in Austria or to Bolzano. You can return by train with the Bikemobilcard South Tyrol, which is an excellent combi-ticket for the bus, train and for hiring a bike!
Mountain bikers will find sporty, challenging destinations and trails in the low mountain ranges and on the alpine pastures.

Ride tip:
Take the route from Raas to Schabs along the cycle path to the Franzensfeste fort, past Lake Vahrner along the Chestnut Trail to Neustift Monastery, to Brixen and back again to Schabs and Raas.
