Swimming lakes, the Acquarena Centre and the Alpine lakes of South Tyrol

Take a plunge, in the valley or in the mountains

Acquarena

This is the Bressanone water park for designed everyone, adults and children. In winter, the indoor pool of the Acquarena and in summer the outdoorpool ensure hours of fun. The large lawn for sunbathing and the playground, as well as the slide in the indoor pool, are an irresistible attraction for families with children.

Lake Varna

Lake Varna is a swimmable Alpine lake. It is ideal for both young and old visitors, and is just a drive from the Sylvanerhof. Because it is shallow, this small lake and its biotope reach pleasant temperatures already at the beginning of summer. A 45-minute walk will take you around the lake.

Lake Issengo

The small Issengo lake is a biotope that charms its visitors with its surrounding scenery as well as with the extraordinary variety of its flora and fauna. Bathers enjoy the natural environment of this lake and its fresh water. Right next to the lake are a restaurant, sunbeds and sun umbrellas, a playground for children and a carefully cared-for portion of forest.

Radlsee

This Alpine lake, located above Bressanone at an altitude of 2,250 m, can be reached only on foot. The Radlsee offers peace and quiet and most notably a unique view. At the Radlsee mountain hut you can also enjoy various traditional South Tyrolean specialties. Given the low temperature of the water, only rarely do visitors take a swim. The Radlsee can be reached on various excursion trails, one of which starts in Latzfons.

The Schrüttn Lakes

The Schrüttn lakes, located at the head of the Valle di Scaleres valley, can be reached after a 3 hour walk. On especially warm summer days, the smaller and the larger Schrüttn lakes offer some relief, although because they are located at an altitude of 1,970 m above sea level, the water is usually quite cold.
